Employment Tribunal Procedure
John Bowers QC and Gavin Mansfield explain the less common aspects of tribunal procedure, including late ET3s, deposits, applications and costs.

Speakers' Profiles

John Bowers QC
John Bowers QC practices at Littleton Chambers in London, specialising in Employment Law, Discrimination Law. He undertakes considerable Pro Bono work and is a former chair of the Employment Law Bar Association and an Employment Tribunal Chairman. He is a former member of the Local Government Standards Board for England. He is an honorary professor at the University of Hull, and is a frequent lecturer on employment law to solicitors, businessmen and trade unionists. His publications include A Practical Approach to Employment Law 2005, OUP (Previously Bowers on Employment Law) and Textbook on Labour Law 2004 (with S Honeyball), OUP, 8th edn. John Bowers is a former Employment Appeal Tribunal Judge. His next book is on whistleblowing.

Gavin Mansfield
Gavin Mansfield is described as a "consumate professional" and a "cracking team player" in the legal directories. He is recognised for his ability to "cut to the chase in the courtroom". As a member of the Littleton Chambers employment group, Gavin Mansfield has wide experience in TUPE disputes as well as High Court litigation and tribunal cases.
