Thomas Linden QC Thomas Linden QC practises in employment law, public/local government law, discrimination law, EU/human rights and sports law. He was awarded Employment Junior of the Year in the Chambers & Partners Bar Awards in 2005 and again in 2006. He took silk in 2006 and was nominated for employment silk of the year in 2008. Tom undertakes the full range of individual and collective employment law work, with particular emphasis on where they intersect with commercial and EU law, and he is proud of acting for a wide spectrum of clients, from refuse collectors to Chief Executives and from trade unions to small businesses to multinational corporations to government departments. He has a substantial appellate practice as is demonstrated by the fact that he was recently ranked in Michael Rubenstein's Guide to the IRLRs as being amongst the top two barristers by number of reported employment cases in the last decade. James Laddie James has a strong practice in employment and discrimination law, with a particular emphasis on appellate and complex discrimination work. He has appeared in many high-profile claims involving individual and collective employment rights, representing both employees and employers. He has recently appeared in cases of sex discrimination, disability discrimination and whistle blowing. His experience extends to employment proceedings in the High Court (including injunctive proceedings, high-value contract claims and judicial review), hearings before the Central Arbitration Committee and internal disciplinary hearings. James is a contributing author to Butterworths Employment Law Guide and lectures, writes and provides training on most aspects of employment and discrimination law and procedure. |
